No Kings Protest

Viva La Resistance

Today I attended one of the No Kings Protests in my hometown of Roseville in California along with my friends Joan Renne and Anne Thomasmeyer. There was a very positive spirt at the event with many friendly people who are greatly concerned about our democracy and Donald Trump’s action to undermine individual rights and our Constitutional system.

During the 2024 campaign, many analysts criticized Kamala Harris for raising the issue of democracy and Trump’s threat to it. They said that people did not care, that they were only concerned about the cost of living and immigration. After five months of Trump’s second term, it is clear that Harris was right to raise the issue, and that many people do in fact care greatly about our Constitution and preserving and protecting democracy. I was happy to stand with all those that were at our event in Roseville and for all of those that are attending similar events around this great nation of ours.
